If their actions never have consequences they'll just continue to take advantage of you and they'll never learn. It's annoying and tough thing to deal with but it's better if you handle the situation head on. A few warnings is fine but eventually it has to cost them something.Ryan Bowlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12331486695555116281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4333695105865829588.post-51440726169819832792011-02-04T15:55:05.043-08:002011-02-04T15:55:05.043-08:00yeah you're right Sarah... eeks that's har...yeah you're right Sarah... eeks that's hard! It sucks when you have to carry the work of others, it's even harder for you since only like 2 or 3 of you guys work at one time. Maybe the person just doesn't even care about their job.. ? Oh man, definitely tough.Maryannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12147819107688506048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4333695105865829588.post-10850715864539784192011-02-04T13:21:08.938-08:002011-02-04T13:21:08.938-08:00The person in question has already been addressed ...The person in question has already been addressed (by management) about their personal life getting in the way of work. :/ After two days of improvement, they settled back into their old ways... and it's been about two weeks since then. Guess it's time for another chat. I do worry about being the one "responsible" for them being let go, but on the other hand, it's really unfair to everyone else because our job is so team-oriented, ya know?Sarah Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07853123978384987822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4333695105865829588.post-331162074184733552011-02-04T13:07:58.734-08:002011-02-04T13:07:58.734-08:00hmmm.. interesting post.. But by the same token I believe that one should talk to the person first and if they are unresponsive then we should talk to management. There are dozens of different scenarios that may call for different types of protocol.

p.s. I LOVE THAT EPISODE.Maryannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12147819107688506048noreply@blogger.com
